NFL Week 11 –

BRONCOS DEFEAT CHIEFS

Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos won their ninth game of the season with a victory over the previously unbeaten Kansas City Chiefs.  Manning was 24-40 passing and threw for 323 yards and 1 touchdown.  Manning connected with five different receivers in the game.  Wes Welker led the Broncos with eight receptions on the day.  The Denver Broncos and the Kansas City Chiefs are both 9-1 on the season.  The Broncos play the Patriots next week in New England.

STEELERS PLAYOFF HOPES STILL ALIVE

The Pittsburgh Steelers kept their playoff hopes alive with a 37-27 victory over the Detroit Lions.  Ben Roethlisberger led the Steelers to a comeback victory with 367 yards and 4 touchdowns.  The Steelers outscored the Lions 17-0 in the second half.  Pittsburgh is now 4-6 on the season.  The Steelers are on the road next week against the Cleveland Browns.

GENO AND THE JETS

Geno and the Jets were grounded in Buffalo and lost 37-14.  Geno Smith was 8 for 23 passing and threw 3 interceptions.  One of the three interceptions was returned for a touchdown by the Buffalo Bills.  Matt Simms replaced Geno Smith in the fourth quarter and led the Jets to a touchdown.  The New York Jets play at the Baltimore Ravens in Week 12.
