NFL 18 Game Season –

The NFL is taking the initial steps to move to an 18 game regular season.  Two of four preseason games will be replaced by regular season games which should greatly increase revenue.  The football league is doing well financially and this should only help with union negotiations during the season.  The NFL moved from a 14 game schedule to 16 games in 1978.
