American League Wins All-Star Game –

The American League won the 84th Major League Baseball All-Star game by a score of 3-0.  The All-Star game was a pitching duel and the National League only had three hits on the day.  New York Mets Pitcher Matt Harvey was the starter for the National League.  Matt Harvey had three strikeouts and didn’t allow a run over two innings.  New York Yankees reliever Mariano Rivera pitched a scoreless eighth inning and was the All-Star game MVP.

The 2013 All-Star game was played at the New York Mets stadium.  The ceremonial first pitch was by New York Mets Hall of Fame pitcher Tom Seaver.  The 2014 All-Star game will be played in Minnesota and Cincinnati will host the game in 2015.
