Votto Lands NL MVP –

Joey Votto received 31 of 32 first place votes and won the National League Most Valuable Player award.  Votto led the Cincinnati Reds to the playoffs for the first time in 15 years.  Votto finished the season second in the league in batting average at .324, third in homeruns with 37 and third in RBIs at 113.  Votto also led the National League in slugging percentage at .600 and on base percentage at .424 for the season.
