Joba Delivers –

Joba Chamberlain delivered agian for the Yankees in his new role as starting pitching. In his fourth start Joba struck out nine and allowed only one run. Chamberlain was a top reliever but starting staff is hard to come by these days. If Joba can fill the role it will help the Yankees down the stretch.

Mets Shake-Up –

Wille Randolph has been fired as the manager of the New York Mets and the GM Omar Minaya should be the next to go from the club. The GM said that he is also partly responsible for the poor performance of the club and he is totally correct on the point. The Mets have the second highest payroll in the league and it is solely due to the contracts for aging players that the GM assembled.
